Power Up Ukraine is a non-profit association originating from the "Vasa Church" in Kalmar, Sweden. Our main mission is to supply electricity generators and vehicles to war-affected areas of Ukraine. We are ensuring that people in need have electricity for heat, light, medical care, and in short a safer everyday life in war-torn Ukraine.

Large Container Power Plants

These power plants are the largest electric plants available, 250-1200kW. These will supply hospitals, entire neighborhoods and large government buildings with electricity for years to come!

Off-road vehicles and make their way in both mud and snow. Large power plants with a diesel tank are mounted on the deck. These are exceptional at getting through to inaccessible places with power plants.

These trucks have a powerful generator on the deck, which makes them very mobile. For example, they have driven around and supplied water towers with electric power to supply thousands of people with water.

One of these stands at a waterworks outside the town of Irpin and now supplies
20,000 inhabitants with water that they have been without for a long time.

Medium-sized power plants of 15 kva that are now used in the shelters of over 100 schools around Ukraine.

Who are we?

A non-profit association from Kalmar

Power Up Ukraine is a non-profit association founded from the beginning by Vasa Church in Kalmar, which in turn is affiliated with the Evangelical Fatherland Foundation (EFS) which is part of the Church of Sweden.

The commitment to Ukraine started with individuals in and around the association asking for support with premises and administration for fundraisers and aid shipments, something the association has a long tradition of.

We work directly with local partners in Ukraine to ensure that all donations reach those in need and transport the power plants to the border themselves. We also provide regular updates and reports on how the donations are being used which you can best find on our Twitter/X page.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to contribute electricity and materiel to war affected areas of Ukraine through donations of money and vehicles/electric utilities. Electricity is a critical resource in crisis situations and makes a significant difference to infrastructure and people in need.

You can donate money through our website by clicking on the “Donate” button and following the instructions. We accept both Swish, Paypal and Bankgiro.

All donated vehicles and power plants undergo a thorough inspection and possible repairs before being sent to Ukraine to ensure they are fully operational.

The time taken to transport donations to Ukraine can vary depending on logistical factors and local needs. However, we are working to make the process as quick and efficient as possible.

To donate a vehicle or power plant, please fill out our donation form on the website. One of our representatives will contact you to arrange pickup and transportation.
